Why We Started MemoryScribe
While completing a Master’s degree specialising in memoir writing, I wrote my own memoir and discovered just how much of my life had already begun to fade from memory. Through the process, I preserved memories, stories and family history that might otherwise have been lost.
It made me realise how many valuable memories disappear in the course of everyday life. Yet these stories matter. They connect us to our families, help us understand where we come from, and become part of the legacy we leave behind.
Today, I can share my story with the people I love, and with future generations I may never meet. They will know something of who I was, even though I will never know them.
That belief is at the heart of MemoryScribe. We help individuals and families preserve their stories because personal memories are part of our shared history, and once they are lost, they cannot be replaced.
